XTM 5000/3000 |
|
XTM 5000 is the world's first portable interferential current (IFC) medium
frequency sine-wave stimulator, combining all the advanced features, essential
strengths and attributes of larger, traditional units already on the world
market, plus more. The revolutionary treatment head synergistically combines
four different kinds of energy in one treatment viz: IFC, magnetic fields,
photons, and subtle energies. Our unique quadripolar
treatment head adds considerably to the versatility. |
|

Series of Interferential Stimulators by Biophysica |
|
IFC is a superior form of electrical stimulation, already universally used
and recognized by Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine experts as one of the most
effective and well-tolerated of therapies because of its long-lasting benefits,
pleasantly penetrating effects, wider range of applications and less superficial
irritation than conventional brief-pulse TENS (Trans-cutaneous Electrical Neuro
Muscular Stimulation. Its range of clinical indications are supported by a
substantial body of professional medical literature. IFC is already replacing
pulse TENS in European countries and Australia because of its comfortable high
frequency smooth sine waves rather than the sharp pulses of TENS and also
penetrates deeper into internal body organs like the bladder, bowels, bone,
pancreas, prostate.

Features of XTM
generators:
-
Pure filtered sine waves, rather than square wave or pulses, are
less irritating on skin nerve endings and actually a source of pleasure to
delicate surfaces.
-
Three separate outputs allow three body sites, or patients, to
be treated simultaneously (two cable outputs and quadripolar head)
-
Hand-held four electrode Quadripolar applicator head (washable)
can be freely moved around by client or therapist.
-
Magnetic Fields from two oppositely oriented Neodymium magnets
in treatment head have well-established therapeutic benefits.
-
Low Energy Photon Therapy (L.E.P.T.) from an emitter in
treatment head driven directly by the IFC wave.
-
Mechanical vibration from vibrator in treatment head (option).
-
Powered from mains line power, or automobile 12v outlet, or from
rechargeable battery (providing three hours use from one charge).
-
Cable outputs connect to standard TENS rubber or disposable
electrodes used universally in rehabilitation, physiotherapy and sports medicine
clinics.
-
Iontophoresis mode uses Germanium diodes (rather than Silicon).
-
Vector rotation on both channels, Frequency modulation and
Scalar modulation
Applications, indications and expected benefits of IFC derived
in part from a bibliography of research papers on electrotherapy:
-

Back pain and headache often respond well.

-
CARDIO-VASCULAR: Peripheral circulatory ischaemia
(increases local blood flow), varicose veins, angina. In Schoeler's 1972
article "Physical Block of the Sympathetic Chain", he describes the
use of two interfering high frequency electric currents achieving a similar
effect to local injection of Procaine into a sympathetic ganglion. The result
was relief of the ischaemia demonstrated by peripheral plethysmography. Local
blood flow increases-utilized in gangrenous and ulcerous conditions.

incisions. Enhances wound and fracture healing. (published article available).

GENITO-URINARY: Cystitis, urinary retention,
incontinence, prostatitis, oedema, lymphatic stasis, neurogenic bladder,
orcho-epididymitis, impotence.

pain. peptic ulcer, gastric hyperactivity, levator ani syndrome, pancreatitis.
Will penetrate trans-abdominally into gut to mobilise inactive bowel.

driving, cycling.
-
ACUPUNCTURE: stimulation either through needle or surface
electrode.
-
SEXUAL dysfunction, bedroom or bath-tub use.
-
COSMETIC applications such as toning facial muscles, skin
and scalp, hair follicle stimulation.
-
IONTOPHORESIS to accelerate absorption of local
anaesthetics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories.
-
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY effects on joints (arthritis), bladder
(cystitis), pancreas, prostate.
-
SWELLING: Edema and inflammation reduction by stimulating
Parasympathetic fibres.
-
EXERCISE: Causes rhythmical pulsation of small muscles
with all the known benefits of exercise and toning, especially to atrophied or
denervated muscle.
-
OBSTETRICS: labour and delivery.
-
PHYSIOTHERAPY: Professional massage for toning deep
muscles and improving circulation.
Two models are available. The XTM 5000 delivers 50 milliamperes
per channel and is offered only to professionals. The XTM 3000, delivers 30
milliamperes per channel and is suitable for renting out for home use as a
better alternative to TENS. Each can use the quadripolar treatment head or
standard TENS electrodes.
Synopsis of Special Features:
-
Acceptability: Smooth, deep electronic muscle massage
ensured with filtered high-frequency sine waves, bypassing sensitive pain-nerve
endings in the skin.
-
Applicability: Deeper pain-relief and wider range of
indications than conventional pulse-wave TENS units used in most clinics.
-
Authenticity: Two separate audio frequency generators
provide true rotational vector scanning rather than simulated phase differences
as in some competitive models.
-
Conventionality: Replacement leads and electrodes are
identical to those used by TENS units throughout the world.
-
Portability: XTM stimulators can go places other
interferential generators can't. The XTM can be used for battery-operated home
or automobile use or as an A.C. line connected professional clinic instrument.
-
Cost: Is reduced by trimming non-essential components,
such as suction pads, timers, meters, digital readouts, and farado-galvanic
circuits, and by using the most technically advanced microcircuits.
-
Efficacy: Greatest heterodyne beat frequency range of
over 1,000 Hz.
-
Music Option: Instead of the pure tones of the internal
generators, external music can be applied through the electrodes.
-
Innovativeness: Unique patent-in-process Quadripolar
Treatment Head carries four electrodes, Low Energy Photon Biostimulation,
Neodymium magnets and mechanical vibrator. Stereo-dynamic modulation.
-
Protection: Stimulator is R.F. and microwave protected.
Proprietary dynamic surge suppression circuit eliminates ON/OFF transients.
-
Versatility: Optimal penetration adjustable by patient or
therapist using the three controls (intensity, amplitude modulation (A.M.), and
frequency modulation (F.M.).
-
Ruggedness: Cases and knobs are made of hardened
fire-proof ABS plastic.
-
Safety: Class II Isolated 12 volt power supply, U.L. and
C.S.A. approved.
-
Subtle Energies: Built-in radionic circuitry.
As with all of our equipment, it also contains components and circuitry to shield against
noxious miasmic energy.
